About the Book

The Gift Is Me

The Gift Is Me follows Simone Lee, a young girl trying to navigate friendship, growing up, first crushes, constant moving, and the confusion of discovering she has been given a spiritual gift she never asked for. What begins as a normal childhood slowly shifts after an unbelievable healing changes Simone’s life forever. Suddenly, faith becomes more than something she learned in church. It becomes personal, powerful, and frightening all at once.

As Simone struggles to understand why God chose her, she also wrestles with loneliness, anger, jealousy, identity, and the fear of losing the people she loves most. The story balances emotional family moments, school friendships, teenage experiences, and spiritual discovery in a way that feels honest and deeply human. At its core, this is a story about learning how to trust God while still being human enough to question everything.
